| Lechelle was captured for the second time early in September, 1918, and the cemetery was made by the 53rd Field Ambulance and the 18th Casualty Clearing Station, which were posted near the site. (The origin of the name is not known with certainty.) It was used until the following month. There are now over 100, 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this site. Of these, a small number are unidentified. The cemetery covers an area of 482 square metres and is enclosed by a rubble wall. |
