| It was made by V Corps, who cleared teh Ancre battlefields in the spring of 1917, as V Corps Cemetery No.9. It contains the graves of 152 United Kingdom soldiers (including 71 unidentified) and one from Newfoundland; the majority belonged to the 29th Division, and 42 of these to the 16th (Public Schools) Bn., Middlesex Regiment. Almost all fell on the 1st July or the 13th November, 1916; a few in June and July, 1918. The Cemetery covers an area of 472 square metres and it is enclosed by a stone rubble wall.
